Lelo is a results-oriented Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 18 years of post-admission to the bar experience in, legal risk mitigation, preventative law, corporate, contract and commercial law, governance, compliance, employment law and dispute resolution.
She has advised and supported major multinational and regional organisations operating across East and Southern Africa.
Her practice is founded on a preventive and commercially informed approach. She works with boards, executives and operational teams to identify vulnerabilities, improve systems, strengthen decision-making and reduce the likelihood of disputes, regulatory exposure and reputational harm.
Before establishing Lelo Advocates. Lelo held senior legal, compliance and governance roles with British American Tobacco, Siginon Group, Unilever and the Central Organisation of Trade Unions Kenya.
She has worked across complex business environments involving multiple jurisdictions, diverse stakeholders and significant operational requirements. Her experience allows her to bridge the gap between legal advice and business execution.
